There are two hot dogs, neither of which involve catchup.
1. The Chicago dog
2. The Coney
Everything else is the culinary equivalent of spelling Carolyn “Keryie” with a heart above the “i”.

Agree with Swiftee about the ketchup — a mortal sin on a hot dog. I usually like mine with good mustard and relish and that’s it. Some interesting ideas to try, though.

Don’t get me wrong. Some of those sounded tasty and kraut is a necessity on a brat.
But only on the left coast would someone put cream cheese on a wiener. That’s why there are no White Castles out there…can you imagine the outrages they would perpetuate on an honest slider?

I’ve seen Philippine style in Hawaii, but never “Hawaiian style.”
Bentos are popular. Do they have them in MN yet? At the 7/11 here you can get a scoop of rice sandwiched between two slices of spam & wrapped with seaweed.
I’ve seen a box lunch of spam and velveeta with barbecue sauce on purple taro bread. The colors were amazing.
