They Hear And Obey

ABC and NBC won’t air an ad critical of Obamacare Kennedycare:
The refusal by ABC and NBC to run a national ad critical of President Obama’s health care reform plan is raising questions from the group behind the spot — particularly in light of ABC’s health care special aired in prime time last June and hosted at the White House.
The 33-second ad by the League of American Voters, which features a neurosurgeon who warns that a government-run health care system will lead to the rationing of procedures and medicine, began airing two weeks ago on local affiliates of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS. On a national level, however, ABC and NBC have refused to run the spot in its present form.
Of course, nothing new there; as their ad revenues have plummeted over the past few decades, they have been resolute in refusing ads from the National Rifle Association.

Well you can be certain that NBC won’t air any Obama criticism. Their parent GE has Billion$ at stake in both Government green jobs spending and managing medical records under Obama care. GE’s Vice-Chairman John Rice recently said as much in a leaked e-mail published in the Washington Examiner.

I wouldn’t expect MSNBC’s verbal attacks on town hall and Tea party protesters to stop even if GE didn’t have a financial interest in passing the Obama agenda; but to watch Schuster, Olbermann and Maddow use a homophobic slur to describe Tea Party protesters and Chuck Todd to claim that the Obamacare opponents are spreading “myths” about the legislation without disclosing GE’s interests in seeing government spending increase substantially in businesses that GE has significant positions in – well, it’s just another reason to doubt the credibility of their reporting, news judgement and sponsors.
