Favre? …Favreau.

You think a Packers/Vikings game was a family-un-friendly cesspool of vulgarity, projectile vomit, urine and feces before?

Just wait until the Vikes/Packers games this year – assuming Favre makes it that far.

Packers fans will be leaping from the cheap seats when they see him in Purple.

Personally, I think Jon Favreau would make a better quarterback.

…at least he knows how to pronounce his name. Cheaper too.

$12M for one year? Ziggy really should have gone with the month-to-month plan.

  1. hey its worth it to have a legit shot at hosting the Lombardi trophy at the end of the year. At least Wilf&Co. are willing to throw down some of their own money, unlike Red “Cheap ass” McCombs

  2. And now the Vikings have gone from having an ice-cream cone’s chance in Hell to having a Jew’s chance at an al-Qaeda pep rally.

Having a good quarterback doesn’t win you Superbowls, having a good football team wins you Superbowls, and I don’t see the Vikings having what it takes with or without Favre. It’s not like the Jets made the playoffs with him on their team.

Then you should read the SitD comments section!

  4. In related news, Milwaukee Brewers followed the Vikings lead, and have signed Kent Hrbek to a one year contract for $12,000,000.

  5. Also, to get them to the World Series, the Minnesota Twins are expected to announce today that Bob Feller has signed and will start on Saturday.

Even at the age of 90, Feller throws harder than Phillip Humber. Seems like a smart move.

Clown, you’re too hard on yourself… you’ve never spewed actual vomit, urine, and feces here.

Not for lack of trying, mind you.

  8. 2000 season tickets, 7000 single game tickets in a few hours after the signing. Seems like a decent investment for ziggy. They where looking at many games not being sold out and missing the additional revenue. Now most games should sellout and be broadcast on local TV.

  9. My son bought four single game tickets before the announcement. You give Brett to much credit.

  10. Now most games should sellout and be broadcast on local TV.

    All the more disappointed fans.

You know how to sell tickets don’t you? Win games.

To that end, Favre will be of no use.

  11. we went 10-6 last year WITHOUT a QB (anyone who sez TJack is a QB probably thinks that Vick has a chance to start the season at QB for the Eagles). I read this and I wonder how many of your are hardcore football/vikings fans, seriously a QB is all we need. We have possibly the best RB ever to play the game (AP) a good 3rd down back (Chester Taylor, who could be a starter for 95% of the other teams in the NFL) a solid reciving core (Berrian, Wade) a breakout TE (Shaincoe) and a potential rookie of the year candidate, that is if he can lay off the weed. Not to mention a top 5 defense. I’m not going to say were going to win a Super Bowl but we might actually be able to get there this year. The NFC is really weak.

  12. On paper as of now the Vikes are the best team in the NFC North. Very good D and an outstanding running game. Farve just has to make enough passes to keep the oppossing D from keying on AP. AP has to hold onto the ball a lot better than he did last year.

Eagles, Giants, Bears, Cards, Carolina and Dallas also have good chances of making the playoffs and winning the NFC.

AFC has 3 or 4 better teams than any of these.
