More Of That “Universal Consensus”

By Mitch Berg

India rejects global warming hysteria.

Jairam Ramesh, the Indian environment minister, accused the developed world of needlessly raising alarm over melting Himalayan glaciers.

He dismissed scientists’ predictions that Himalayan glaciers might disappear within 40 years as a result of global warming.

India realizes what conservatives do; that the only way to react to any sort of global climate change (whether man-made or not) is to spread as widely as possible the kind of prosperity that makes innovation possible.  Because it’s innovation, not retrenchment, that’ll solve whatever issues humanity does face with the environment.

If the current bunch of idiots was in charge a century ago, they would have crushed the development of the mass-produced automobile, good roads, and air travel, as not being ‘sustainable’. Steam engine? Electric power plants? Are you serious? Burn wood and coal? Dam rivers?
They would have instead tried to breed a horse that would eat less & create less manure, and of course restrict horse ownership to people who the government decided deserved one.

Didn’t he get the memo? It’s “Global Climate Change” now, not “Global Warming”. This way they can blather on about how man is causing this or that without ever having to connect their crazy talk up with real data. It’s not science, it’s “Crazy Science(TM)”! Just like good old Marx used to make.
