Today

Eva Ng officially files to run for mayor of Saint Paul today.

She’s having a bit of an event:

TUESDAY, JULY 21st

Time: 1:00 pm

(Please arrive about 12:30)

Ramsey County Elections Building,

90 West Plato Blvd., St. Paul

I’m going to try to make it there to cover it, although I’m probably a little under 50-50.  Work is pretty crazy.

Not as crazy as the state of government in Saint Paul, of course.  We need Eva Ng in City Hall.  If you can help out – whether you live in Saint Paul or not – we’d love to see you there.  This is the biggest race anywhere in Minnesota this year; this is the kind of thing conservatives statewide should see the obvious need to pitch in on.

Hope you can help.

  1. Is there usually some kind of media event held in conjunction with filing papers? Is this the first filing for the particular office in contention, or have there been others, and I missed them?

Did they start removal of the former garage yet? Glad you don’t have to be home for that, and can get back to your usual work and…play. Or should I characterize politics as your ‘other’ work? Seems that way at times, LOL. Poor Scarlet must come a distant third in priorities…. written firmly tongue in cheek.

  2. I almost wish Eva Young would “switch to” the DFL, move to Saint Paul, and get endorsed (over the existing incumbent mayor) to run.

Then the GOP could run a campaign: “the only thing between Young and Ng is You”.

    It’s pretty common, yes.

And the garage got about half-cleared yesterday – they got the big pieces, like the big swathes of un-burned roofing – and they’re slated to move the rest of it, mostly small stuff, out today.

Why not? We’ve been using her likeness as our logo forever.

  5. Eva Young and Margaret Anderson-Keliher in St. Paul at the same time may cause the bluffs to collapse into the Mississippi.

I’m happy for you that things are moving so quickly. Insurance can compensate you for the property loss, minus the deductible, but they can’t make up for the inconvenience. Fingers crossed here it all goes smoothly, and quickly.

  7. Angryclown observed “There are, in fact, a great many things you can’t spell without “NG.” ”
That would of course include “understanding”.

  8. It would include all gerunds, Kerm. For example, b*** f***ing, c*** s***ing, p***y eating.
