Motivations

I, for one, and for the record, have suspected all along that the “North Korea hacked Sony” story has been dog-wagging BS from the beginning.

And while I’d prefer to be backed up by a better source than the Mail, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if I was right.

Think about it – why would North Korea want to screw with Sony (The Interview notwithstanding)?  They have the same goal…

    I doubt that the Norks did the Sony hack. That said, I strongly suspect that they contracted out the hit to various other hackers with actual skillz. As for why they would “want to screw with Sony”, never underestimate the fragility of the ego that runs a cult of personality. Without that cult-like following power dissipates and a hack like this helps keep the Kims in power.

    Rumor has it that instead of the counter-hack allegedly perpetrated by the US against North Korea, Vice President Biden wanted to send one million pizzas to Kim Jong Un.

    His back up plan, the flaming bag of fecal matter was quashed do to the lack of a single, clearly identified doorstep upon which to lay it …
