Because He Did So Much For Kazakhstan

Who’s less excited about the new Sacha Baron Cohen film than I am?
British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen currently still has a massive fan base in Austria, but that is soon to change as the media dubs his latest film “dull”, “insulting” and a threat to the country’s world image – and economy.
To be fair, most Americans haven’t been aware of anything from Austria since Yahoo Serious.

Yahoo Serious is from Australia not Austria.
Arnold Schwarzenegger however is from Austria but I think more people now associate him with Cal-ee-fornia.

I taught my father, he taught his father, and he taught his father before him…

Yahoo Serious is from Australia
That’d be precisely my point.
If you think about it.
Take two!

Demonstrating the superiority of America over Austria once again. Cohen makes a Michael Moore Fake-u-mentary about the U.S. complete with fictional characters and staged situations recording the reactions (or rather non-reactions) of Americans to put-ons and Americans shrug it off. Hell, the critics here celebrated his portrayal of “middle” Americans as rubes. Then he does the same to Austria and they take it as a national insult. Get a sense of humor, Fraulein Maria, and make me some strudel, macht schnell.

Christina Stürmer is pretty good; her voice has that “strip the paint off of an aircraft quality” quality much as in the way as Jennifer Trynin (one of Mitch’s favorites) did. You need to hit amazon.de to get her samples though and tolerate the Germanic tendency to hide behind loud instrumentation.
That’s the only Austrian I know of…
