That’s a Backfire

Methinks “No” isn’t the answer the Strib was looking for.

Hey, it’s not like we are borrowing trillions from the Chinese to subsidize the theater enthusists hobby.

We’re not looking for any answer, Johnny. Also: If you read the story, it points out the projects that got short-shrift in favor of the Shubert project. It’s not cheerleading.

It’s not the money so much as what was done with it. Seriously, moving a huge building one block so a mega-multi-complex could be built? Idiocy.

You want to tell me there wasn’t one good architect that could have figured out how to incorporate the Shubert in situ? The Shubert is a perfect emblem of Minneapolis DFL governance. Straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.

Watch the “Gnat” references around Lileks.

Lileks retired “Gnat” when she turned 8-years-old.

Also, Darth Vader is Luke’s father.

I have no doubt Lileks is familiar with the gnat reference.

Oops. My bad. It’s not a Minnesota “Poll”

Typical wingnut. Can’t retract an attack without making another one.

I think you, of all people, should be last in line to make that argument. *shrug*
