Shot in the Dark

Danger To Self And Others

CD8 DFL representative Rick Nolan was photographed on “hunting trip” photo op, carrying an eeeevil black assault rifle AR-15.

Anyone see the problem? 20140924-122623-44783268.jpg

Answer below the jump.

His finger is on the trigger, and he’s not pointing at a target.

Don’t you just love when people from the Gun Grabber party try to play with guns?

Anyone think Stewart Mills would hold a piece like this?

Why is the guy on the right in camo? Why is he the only one not smiling? And where is Nolan’s left arm?

That’s not Nolan, that’s Myron Ilktost!

The Minnesota Gun Owners PAC, where I’m Executive Director, has offered to pay for training for Mr. Nolan, because he clearly needs it. The training can be held at Mills Fleet Farm Shooting Range in Baxter, MN.

A guy in a suit dangerously holding an “assault weapon” next to a guy in camo. Isn’t this a fantasy setup that Heather Martins dreams of using in ads?

I love the body language with the bearded hipster on the left – who, if I had to guess, I’d say was a DFL staffer from Minneapolis who’s scared poopless to be in the same county as a black rifle.

One other thought is that, while .223 (at least with expanding round) is legal for deer in Minnesota, it’s really a bit light (and out of season) for deer, but a bit heavy and over-penetrating for small game. So he’s not only pointing his gun in an unsafe direction and keeping his finger on the trigger, but he’s also doing it in a pointless way.

    What a description of Democrats!

The guy on the right is interesting. The pants are standard issue BDU’s, nothing interesting. But the jacket is BDU Goretex, a little more hard to come by. And the creme de la creme is the American Flag in place of the rank on the patrol cap.

That guy would fit in at any militia rally, which makes it interesting he is with a DFL congressman.

The guy on the left as you’re looking at the photo, with the green vest – he looks like he’s wearing his dad’s jacket. The sleeves, bud. Shorten them.
Also almost looks like he’s wearing a body armor plate under that green sweater. Maybe he had a road atlas for breakfast.

A gun rights group has offered to Rick Nolan to pay for a gun safety class at MIlls Fleet Farm in Baxter (as in Stewart Mills).

But it is funny when leftwing Democrats try to connect to more rural culture by doing a photo op. I remember John Kerry coming to Eau Claire Wisc in 2004. Said “I recall crawling on the ground while deer hunting with my trusty shotgun……”. Was it…Wendy Davis? Needed to boost her poll numbers so had her picture taken while holding a rifle. She looked as uncomforable as I would be holding a snake.

Imagine Mike McFadden going to North Mpls, but on some baggy clothes, a hat on sideways, and saying “the saddest day of my life was the day Tupac died”.

The picture looks photoshopped to me.

His finger is on the trigger, not on the trigger guard, which is inappropriate unless he’s planning on sending a couple of rounds at the photographer,

Or my favorite, Ann Wynia, running for US Senate 20 years ago. A gun-grabbing DFLer who, facing a charge by Rod Grams in what became the ’94 GOP wave, did a photo op waving a duck gun around up north.

Ann Wynia was to duck guns what Michael Dukakis was to tanks. Or Rick Nolan is to scary black guns.

This photo practically screams – “Can I get me hunting license here?”.
With the Minnesota Militia type to his left, it makes one wonder what Rick Nolan was shooting at in his commercial.
Meanwhile, the Democrat “tracker” paid for by donations from the Super-Rich (like the oil-industry heiress) surreptitiously videotapes Stewart Mills slicking back his hair and this is evidence that he can’t identify with the common man.

Some internal polls have got the Nolan camp in full panic mode, in late September… Nolan staffers better start getting those resumes ready

It almost looks like some kind of weird anti-gun campaign ad (‘There are some people who should not be allowed to possess a gun. Me, for instance….

….I am Rick Nolan, and I approve of this ad.’)

  19. […] Nolan, who ran away from the anti-gun movement (ineptly), […]
