Retail Question

By Mitch Berg

Anyone know if there’s a flag store in the Twin Cities?

I finally mounted a flagpole holder on  my porch.  I have the Stars and Stripes, of course, ready for all flag-waving occasions; I also have the Saint Andrews Cross, which inaugurated the flagpole on Tartan Day, earlier this month.

So I need a Norwegian flag in time for Syttende Mai, and there are only 17 shopping days left until Norway’s Independence Day.

Any tips?

Mitch, you might try calling Sons of Norway and the Scandinavian gift shops about a Norwegian flag. I’ve got a beautiful one, but I’ve been waiting to put up two flag poles. I’m not going to fly the Norwegian one without Old Glory, and it is an insult, in the flag code, to fly one nation’s flag under another’s. Mine came from eBay, not a local Minnesota store.

Plus you never know when you’ll want to fly the Confederate *and* Nazi flags on the same day.

Ingebretsen’s on Lake Street has Norwegian flags, but they are expensive. You might try Scandia Imports downtown. Online you could try crwflags.com, but eBay currently has many Norwegian flags offered.

Assclown, go back to your clown car and amuse yourself by passing gas in the close quarters. I have little tolerance for the inane and insane.

Har Har *guffaw* oh my thats the Peak of Comedy, AC

Seriously is there any shiny red button that you have ever successfully resisted the urge to press?

I would chastise AC, but I have no moral ground from which to do so, having coined the term “Oink-schwitz.”

    Display Sales in Bloomington…

They can cover all of your flag needs…Original Navy Jack…Gasden Flag (Don’t Tread on Me) as well as your Syttende Mai needs.

Conveniently you can pick up the Pakistan flag on the same catalog page.

Alamo Flags at the Mall of Amerika is an option too. Just don’t buy a Gadsden flag or the DOHS will be all over your arse (assuming they aren’t already for your well-know record of extremist activities).

There is (or was) a flag store in the Mall of America. It has been quite a while since I was there, so it may have moved on.

Long ago, Angryclown dated a lady clown whose parents had one of those insipid flags with butterflies on it. Every time we would go to visit, Angryclown would say, “What country are your parents from?”

Angryclown is very entertaining, don’t you agree?

I would agree. Sometimes even intentionally! 😉

This is useful information, *especially* about the Confederate battle flag. On Decoration Day this year, I want to create a display on Cathedral Hill honoring those brave Minnesotian patriots who defended the country against the Democrats who tried to destroy the nation the first time.

Sandeen’s, at 1315 White Bear Ave. I have picked up some Norske gifts for my mom there over the years, including a lefse stick and Ole and Lena joke books. phone (651) 776-7012‎.
