Sorry about the length of the url, I’m not real good at permalinks. Would love to see DG’s response to this.
Might want to address this soon Mitch.
Oh, it’s in the hopper. Raring to go.
Mitch:
Based on the couple of minutes I heard with your Jeff Johnson interview may I make a couple of comments about the Minnesota poll that you didn’t take into account.
First, Mark Dayton in the two polls which he has the big lead hasn’t gone up at all. In effect he’s polling basically every single person who is going to vote for him anyway. This is important taking into account the theme of Dayton’s campaign is that I have fixed Minnesota and it’s on the mend. If it was working wouldn’t Dayton being moving up at least a point?
Two, if Dayton is polling 45, the independence candidate is polling that leave 50% for the Johnson win.
Three, if the poll is modeled on 2010 let alone 2012 Dayton doesn’t have the support in the 7th and 8th congressional districts which the polls are modeled on. Thus if you play with the numbers to reflect results this might be inflating Dayton’s numbers.
