In which we learn from our “President” that gun violence (which has dropped by half in the past twenty years) “has never been worse”, but that the world “has never been less violent” (as the Middle East spirals toward a general conflagration).

But Jimmy Carter was targeting an electorate that was paying attention. Obama never has.
I’m sure the president will latch on to anything – the more the better – to distract attention from his myriad of blunders. I could see him even doing something patently illegal (as in “I’ve got a pen and am not afraid to use it”).
Most of the low-info. population could easily believe that gun violence has never been higher since that’s an MSM mantra. But if he’s baying about the peaceful state of the world, he’s likely to lose even some of his most ardent sycophants. That’s too big a stretch for even democrats …
Well, you *could* argue that since the Iraqi Army is doing its best impression of the French under Gamelin in 1940, things are more peaceful in Iraq…..sort of….
The Iraqi Army believed Joe Biden when he said all they needed was shotguns.
….and that the best way of dealing with unwanted visitors to your property was to stand on the balcony in full view of anyone who would want to shoot you…..
Maybe he was thinking of his old stomping grounds? His party’s policies there have certainly resulted in massive gun violence.
