The fact that this…”journalist”…calls the work of Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn “baroque boilerplate” is enough to make me reflexively throw this whole piece out the rhetorical window.
But then I remember it’s in the New Yorker, which has just slightly more credibility than a supermarket tabloid magazine.
