…But Not For Thee, Throughout History

Was I the only one who noticed – California Senator Diane Feinstein was silent during the part of the NSA scandal when it was just the peasants getting spied on…

…but she swung into action like Batwoman when it was her getting snooped?

For Sen. Dianne Feinstein, regulation of unmanned aerial vehicles has gotten personal.

In an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” that aired on Sunday night, the California Democrat said a drone spied into the window of her home during a protest outside her house, and that privacy concerns for the technology were “major.”

…now.

Can anyone help but remember Feinstein’s time in San Francisco, where she moved to revoke all civilian handgun carry permits…

…after having herself issued a police permit?

When it was her life being threatened?

I walked to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon and I made the determination if somebody was going to try and take me out, I was going to take them with me.”

In the world of the left, only the right people actually need civil rights.

  1. Similiar issue…..school choice for me, not for thee. Wisc Democrat governor candidate Mary Burke (or Burkenstock) says she will end tuition assistance for charter schools, and the tax deduction for private school tuition.

Funny thing is, she is a rich 1%er who went to a high priced exclusive private school in Hartland Wisconsin. Public schools weren’t good enough for her (and the public schools in that area tend to be good ones), but she wants to deny those of low income the opportunity to do the same, even if their local schools aren’t the best.

  2. That’s scary. Think of what might have been seen through her window.

The effect of that on the eyes of the remote drone operator would have been far worse than that of a laser to the eyes of an airplane pilot …

I wonder if FOIA covers the results of drone surveillance in minor events like a political protest? Apparently Ms. Feinstein has access to hers.

Her need for a firearm then was particularly “urgent”. She said that some hospital situation necessitated her to travel alone at night in an unsavory part of town. Never could understand how she could rationalize that. Just a bit more equal than the peasants, I guess …

  3. Somewhat related: http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2014/03/19/gun-tattoo-mistakenly-brings-heavily-armed-police-to-maine-mans-home/

    1) I was unaware it was a crime to own and carry a handgun on your own property in the state of Maine. Yes, he had a tattoo and not a gun, but the tree crew thought it was a gun so they called the cops. Why did the cops send an armed response to a man *supposedly* carrying a gun on his own property? What law(s) did he break? Obviously none since he wasn’t charged, so why the need for a SWAT team?

    2) Someone, somewhere, is going to end up taking out one or more over-zealous super-militarized cops, and will end up getting perforated themselves. The more and more frequently reported knee-jerk reaction of power hungry cops and swat teams going after people who are legally and harmlessly exercising their human rights, is just getting way to commonplace. I am betting something will blow up by the end of the year

  4. We’d be remiss if we failed to recall her meltdown over CIA spying on the Senate.

  5. Yes, Ms. Whinestein is a fountain of left wing hypocrisy. As she railed against the damaging mortgage policies of the evil Bush administration (erroneously, because that debacle can be traced back to Slick Willy Clinton, Fat Boy Bowney Fwank, Chris Dodd and Franklin Raines), her husband’s firm was awarded the contract to handle all HUD financed home foreclosures in northern CA. She is so pathetic!

I await, with bated breath, the MSM’s disclosure and month-long feeding frenzy over this appearance of impropriety.
