And a dictator messes with a hero who’s already notched one dictatorship:

Nobel laureate, former Polish prime minister, and hero of the Cold War Lech Walesa will not be allowed to visit Venezuela ahead of that country’s referendum on extending the rule of Hugo Chavez. El Jefe told Venezuelan media that Walesa was unwelcome in Caracas, where he was set to meet with opposition student groups, and would be prevented from entering the country. After Walesa cancelled his visit, Chavez claimed that he would, in fact, be allowed through customs but would be “closely monitored” on his visit.

The left’s chattering classes around the world can not handle criticism of them or those they deign to protect.

By the way, look for Jon Stewart or Keith Olberman to start bagging on Lech Wałesa sooner than later.

    I understand why you do it. If you had to wait for The Left to respond in the way they do in your paranoid fever dreams, your blog’s content would decrease by about half. And your readers aren’t exactly sticklers for stuff like facts when you’re throwing ’em red meat to help fuel their far-right fears and hatreds. Still, I wonder why you bother getting all indignant about things that have never happened and are unlikely to happen.

    Well, we don’t see a lot of (if any) criticism of Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez from the Left-of-center folks (but I do appreciate you labeling it an “outrageous event”, Mr. Clown- it’s a very good first step), so I don’t think Mitch’s assumption is without reason or merit.

    And if past experience is any guide, we won’t be expecting you to voice any concerns whatsoever over Britain denying entry to Mr. Geert Wilders . . .

    Clownie: Just so you’re not confused: Afghanistan is a country in Asia where we’re involved in getting rid of insurgents – which are bad guys. Bruce Springsteen is a musician. Displacement is what you put your plate on at Thanksgiving. If you need any more remedial help, er, if you don’t understand certain things, you should just ask.
