Time Flies When You’re Having Fun

Before I forget – today’s my BlogBirthday.
I’ve related the story a time or two; it was seven years ago today, whilst working at a rapidly-failing dotcom, that I read an article at Time Magazine about Andrew Sullivan and (here’s a time-capsule piece for you) the new breed of young conservative intellectuals…
…which featured a bit about Sullivan’s blog. Which I read…
…and, after the kids were in bed, I hurried out to Blogger.com, set up the original Shot In The Dark, and scrambled to write my first post.
Anyway – thanks for keeping me company all this time!

HBB Mitch – I tuned in sometime back in ’02, and your site was one of a number of little things in this town that kept my chin up on the road from job A to job B during that (grim) time – As a fellow Dakotan, you might remember a midwestern band that had their 15 minutes back in the
mid-80s, the Long Ryders – The liner notes on one of their records gave a shout-out, approximately, “we wish all future success and happiness to all bands everywhere” – That would be the sentiment I’m looking for, I’m thinking there is not much difference between being a successful band, a successful radio host, or a successful blogger – All the best, and Thanks –
