  1. Why does it interest me? Pop culture ephemera always grabs me. And Justine Bateman was a major crushgirl in my crowd back, um, not that long ago.

Where did I find it? Not sure – Instapundit maybe?

  2. So if I would have married Mallory when I wanted to (well, we were a little young, but work with me), that is what my wife would look like today. And yes, I was a little Alex Keaton. I was the only kid in 5th grade who bought debentures with my paper route money when they were selling them at 13% interest. Too bad I didn’t know that they weren’t insured.

  3. I still wonder what happened to her. I saw her on some TV show within the past couple years, the first time In a couple decades for me, and she looked pretty grim. Rather ragged and sinewy, the years having done her no good. Almost like she went through a “lifestyle change” or was in the waiting line for rehab. Pretty scary. I have nothing against her and hope she’s doing well. However, I was a bit stunned by her appearance, and she wasn’t made up to look that way as part of the show.

  4. Joe,

I recall she went through a big born-again experience about a decade ago. Given that and her going back to college for a major career change, I don’t suspect that “looking like Mallory Keaton” is high on her list of priorities anymore.

On the one hand, more’s the pity.

On the other? Lots of 47 year olds look a lot worse.
