This Is Your Obama Recovery: A Long December Edition

By Mitch Berg

Job creation – early-week major-media triumphalism notwithstanding – sputtered last month.

Five people left the work force for every job that was created; that – not “recovery” – is why the unemployment rate “dropped”.

Why call it a “recovery” at all?

And whatever we do, the media cannot, I repeat CANNOT, suggest that it might be the insane regulations of Dear Leader that might be at fault, or fright over how one is to obtain medical insurance after the Health Insurance Deform Act caused one to lose their old insurance. Off the table, ya know…

    It’s Bush’s fault and you’re a racist.

Let me correct that last comment.
The reality is that it’s Bush’s fault and you’re a racist.

This is a shocker but the LA Slimes actually talked about why the UE rate dropped:

    Kinlaw-
One of the many, many outrageous things that liberals have done is to claim that they want to reverse the Reagan revolution, then accomplish this by reducing opportunity for the marginally employed, and so returning work force participation to pre-Reagan numbers, and then blame the job loss on Reaganism.
That’s what control of the media buys you in 2013. Madness passes for reason.

Arguably Obama has undone the Reagan revolution. The military is a shell of what it used to be, unemployment in real terms is at Carder levels, the economy is in shambles, Russia is once again a serious world power…..all we need now is for Barack to bring out a cardigan to tell us about why our embassy….oh, wait, happened last year, didn’t it?
