A warren of shipping containers in a decaying port somewhere on the Baltic might be a more realistic vision, MBerg.

Visually striking, but a bear to heat in a climate zone like MN. Or were you thinking or relocating?

Out of fairness, I would expect that at least one silo would be reserved for those in need of affordable housing and another for a pack of starving artists.
Add a moat and the owner should be impervious to attack from the underserved rabble and zombies.
I’d think that once heated to the correct level, all that solid concrete would hold the heat fairly well, kind of like radiator in-floor heating. Same with cooling.
However, during the in-between times when both cooling and heating are needed daily (like in May or September), things could get a bit uncomfortable.
