  1. I have to admit: I was curious to see how ludicrous the spin would be on the Left when it came to explaining a lie so obvious, other lies look away in shame. Yet, I didn’t even have to look too far Left — CNN.com’s headline read “Obama changes Obamacare promise.” That’s called a “broken promise,” at best; an outright lie, at least best. And then, THEN, there’s a CNN.com subhead that reads “See how the pledge has evolved.” Oh, so now it’s not even a PROMISE — it’s a PLEDGE.

This is the kind of fart bubble biting I’d expect from Dog Gone, for crying out loud.

  2. The difference? H got creamed when he had to face voters after telling his whopper. O learned and made sure that his whopper wouldn’t become apparent until he would never have to face the voters again.

  3. The playground bully in After School Specials always comes up to the kid who’s minding his own business and says “Do you want to get punched?” and then punches him anyway, saying “It’s Opposite Day, hahahahaha!”

With President Obama, it’s ALWAYS Opposite Day and we’re always getting sucker punched. Starting to get real tired of that.
    .

  4. Actually, what Barack Obama said was most people will be able to keep their insurance policies, which is true.

Most of the cancellation of insurance is in the individual purchase market where the junk policies are common. That is less than 10% of the total of health insurance policies. And only the worst of those are no longer in effect, which is a huge benefit to all of us as well as to the individuals. It is also true that most people are paying less and getting better insurance — more bang for the buck.

And no, Obama isn’t coming for your guns either, but hey – the radical right is notoriously fact-averse.

When you are lying you are losing.

  5. Night Writer … I am fairly certain that the quote was “We don’t want to take ALL your guns away.” Or at least there was a definite “all” in the version I heard.

As I was listening to the radio wizards parse President Obama’s more recent famous quote today, I was wondering why G.H.W.’s famous declaration wasn’t given any air play in the same context. That one’s a south of the border stand-off. Bush didn’t lie. Supposedly changing circumstancs made his promise undoable. However, if the left claims that, too, they have to exonorate Bush. What a dilemma.

Sounds like President Obama is going full-out Bill Clinton and denying the true intent of the statement. Hope he sticks with that …

  6. Actually, what Barack Obama said was most people will be able to keep their insurance policies, which is true.

April 1, 2010, a week after signing the ACA, Obama: “If you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you.”

Go suck on a tail pipe until you’re woozy, DG. You’ll make more sense then. Maybe.

  7. DG,

So good, I have to reiterate Yossarian:

April 1, 2010, a week after signing the ACA, Obama: “If you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you.”

You never, ever, ever get anything right. Ever.

You are a propaganda bot, and not a very good one.

  8. Amendment:

““Read My Lips – No New Taxes!” – Geoge H. W. Bush, 1990.

“”You will be able to keep your health care plan. Period.” – Barack H. Obama, 2009

“I heard it on Minnesota Progressive Project…” – Anyone, ever.

  9. And no, Obama isn’t coming for your guns either

HE won’t admit it to anyone who cares, but he has plenty of henchmen and underlings who will. Notably, Dianne Feinstein:

Discussing why the 1994 act only prohibited the manufacture or import of assault weapons, instead of the possession and sale of them, Feinstein said on CBS-TV’s 60 Minutes, February 5, 1995, “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ’em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here.”

UpChucky Schumer is right along side of her as well.

“we’re not going to take away your guns”

    “blow it out your ass”

  10. You would think that there would be at least one voice on the Left that would condemn Obama for blatantly, repeatedly, and unequivocally lying to the American people to pursue a narrow political goal. You won’t find any.
No integrity on the Left. It’s not part of their makeup.

NOT TRUE – my group of 17 employees had a choice of Medica indemnity or an HSA plan with a $2,500/$5,000 deductible and open access. Medica doesn’t offer either plan for 2014. These are not not ‘junk policies’ from a ‘bad apple’ insurer.

The replacements offered have a limited network, higher deductible, and came with a 16% cost increase. Why can’t I keep my plan???

How can you tell when BHO & DG are lying? Their lips are moving…

  12. Just got my health insurance (family coverage) renewal in the mail. It went up about $150 per month. Now closer to $1500/ monthn than $1300/month. They attributed the rise to Obamacare. Can’t honestly say if that’s true, but it’s what they are saying.

Of course they will not condemn President Obama. It’s the same group who will not condemn the other liar, Bill Clinton. Truth is meaningless to them unless it provides a dividend. Lies are OK if it fits the agenda.

Anyone who supports Bill Clinton should be ashamed. Politics aside, he looked us in the eye (on TV) and lied, dragging the questionable name of Lewinsky through the mud as well. If he were a republican, libertarian, whatever, it would be no better. I cannot understand this.

  13. DG, I just have to ask; do you realize who you are dealing with here, the people you call “mitchketeers?”

An MD. A two or three of lawyers (real ones, not the ones you and Pen constantly conjure up). Several engineers in a variety of disciplines. At least one hard scientist. One literal rocket scientist, and another guy who just works in a hard-to-place but non-trivial technical job in astronomy. A couple of actual journalists who’ve worked at finding out facts for a living.

People who get paid to get things right; people who have to get things right or people die, or lose lots of money, or watch their projects collapse.

I’m the dumbest person on this blog!

You think you’ve earned the right to condescend? Especially given that these people have eaten your factual lunch on every occasion it’s been presented – every single time?

    Do freaking tell.

Seriously – I’m starting to worry about you.

  14. Wait a minute MtkaMoose! Dog Breath is an insurance expert! She stated such a couple of months ago, so it must be true.

Dog Breath, this is just for you. I just bought a new semi automatic rifle at my favorite place to buy my guns and ammo, Mills Fleet Farm. You know, the family owned company that honors the U.S. Constitution. And, right there with me were two friends of mine from law enforcement; an FBI Agent and Bloomington Police Officer. Both of them told me what a sweet weapon it was and are going with me to shoot it/sight it in on Saturday. So, blow it out your ass, commie!

  15. I think even DogGone realizes the grift has been compromised. Note the lack of ALL CAPS and just the lone gratuitous insult. She’ll have to comfort herself with her husbands money. Again.

  16. At least 23 documented instances where PeeBO said “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it” (and probably more than that on the campaign trail) and the word “most” never appeared in that phrase. But by all means, bring your sorry game in here, DG and we’ll play. Unless the game is Liar’s Poker with you, in which case I fold.

  17. DG blathered ignorantly:

” It is also true that most people are paying less and getting better insurance — more bang for the buck.”

I’m paying much more with less coverage (much higher deductibles). Also had to drop my wife from my plan to avoid incurring a $600 surcharge (which itself has driven the cost up above and beyond the premium hike). Same story for the other several thousand or so who get health insurance through my employer. But you always have been fact adverse.

There’s a FACTCHECK for you, dumbass.

  18. You have to understand Dog Gone’s fact checking process, LearnedFoot. Open email from DNC, memorize the truth therein, than put it on the web.

S/email from DNC/latest post from Kos, ThinkProgress or DU/p

  20. On the other -er – foot, your shiny new Obama-Policy that covers you as a middle-aged single man not only includes coverage for maternity and newborn care, pediatric services including oral and vision care, it also includes coverage for mental health treatment. So you see, you ARE getting a valuable upgrade that’s well worth the money you’re being involuntarily charged for it. As to the money blown on coverages you’ll never use, just think of it as a tax.

  21. Joe Doakes – I did just watch A Few Good Men the other night …… and still screwed up the quote! (siiiiigh – think that proves my point above)
