We’re Number 47!

By Mitch Berg

Minnesota has the 47th-best tax climate, according to the non-partisan [1] Tax Foundation.

In none of the five major categories – corporate, individual income, sales, unemployment or property taxes – is Minnesota even in the top 60%.

Keep up the good work, DFL!

[1] – Hey, if the media calls “Common Cause” “non-partisan”…

CORRECTION:  47th best.  Not 47th worst.  I needed coffee.

    Wouldn’t 47th worst be 4th best? I think it’s 47th best (out of 50).

Now I’m gonna get a bill.

    Will fix.

[2] Not that anyone knows the difference, but Common cause and the Tax Foundation are non-partisan. That’s not to say they’re non-ideological – one is liberal, one is conservative.

But of course when Common Cause is in the media they are described by their lack of partisanship first and their ideology second (or never) – and the Tax Foundation is described by their ideology first and their lack of partisan affiliations second (or never).

Just one of the many troupes that exposes the media’s bias.

47 seems to be the magic number this week.

But weren’t we number eight just a couple weeks ago?
