Oh Come All Ye Faithful

From Luke – one of history’s original bloggers, 2,000 years ago (give or take a few):

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord.

This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

Merry Christmas, all.

Posting will be, obviously, pretty nonexistant today.

  1. Merry Christmas, neighbor.

We are leaning towards beer and cigars around the fire tomorrow night. Feel free to stop by if you see the flickering of the embers.

    Flash

  2. Merry Christmas to you too!

Let me know when you start torching up the fire. I will be way due for it.

Also let me know if you need me to bring anything.

  3. Obviously, thanks Mitch – hey, btw, your good friend Swift basically told all of us that we were two-faced for having congenial conversation/communication in addition to our profound political disagreements – so welcome to two-faced land bud ;)! Or as I like to think of it, the land where Christ loved everyone.
