They’re Going To Need A New Chanting Point

By Mitch Berg

Two months ago, Wisconsin (along with, ahem, North Dakota) came in 49th out of 50 states in a Philadephia Fed report on economic growth.

Liberals chortled with glee, declaring Scott Walker a dead issue.

Then last month the Philly Fed uprated Sconnie to 20th.

And now?

And with new numbers out today for June, Wisconsin is now ranked 5th in new rankings among states on their six month economic outlook. For those keeping track, that’s 40th, to 20th, to 5th in just a couple months.

And in another leading economic indicator, the coincidence index, Wisconsin ranks 2nd.

These numbers are not the be-all and end-all of economic reporting.  I’m  not presenting them as such.

But some people sure did. Two months ago, anyway.

I have to get back to work, but if anyone wants to have fun (and see how wacked society is)…go to the Milw Journal web site. If they have this story, read the comments. Key words you will read:

    Koch Brothers
    Scottie
    ALEC
    Racist
Oh yeah, but (and then a link to a leftwing web site)
    And paranoid conspiracy theories

The only good poll is the one that proves your chanting point. All the rest are meh.

The Federal Reserve Bank manipulates the money supply to “cook” the economy to even out highs and lows, which is how they’ve managed to achieve the steady, slow growth we’ve enjoyed for the last few decades.

Their policies are based on all settled science and peer reviewed, as shown in these reports. So you can’t deny it, Mitch. You’re not a Fed Denier, are you?

As Glenn Reynolds says: The Country Is In The Best Of Hands.

Our favorite super hero Zim the multi ethnic crime fighting crusader was pulled over in Texas for speeding.

  5. Powhatan Mingo Says:

The Zim story makes much of the fact that he was armed when he was pulled over. What the heck do the so-called journalists expect? Lynch mobs are in pursuit of Zimmerman and anyone associated with him.
Doesn’t help when Obammy’s press secretary mocks the idea that Zimmerman is on his own: http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/white-house-press-secretary-mocks-daily-caller-reporter-for

Of course, the lame stream bobble heads didn’t give the fact that Zim handled it exactly right, immediately telling the officer that he was armed, more than a passing comment.

  7. Loren Says:

Well, it depends on the state if he handled it exactly right. Here in Minnesota, if stopped for speeding and having no need to get in the glove compartment where I had a weapon, I would not have even told the officer, and been legal in doing so. Now if I had need to get into the glove box, say to get an insurance card, then yes, tell the officer before you make any move towards it. But otherwise, it might as well be in the trunk and nobody’s business but your own.

The rapid change in status in 2 months says more about the Philly Fed’s analytic ability than anything else.

Honestly, economists were invented to make astrologers look accurate.
