Whew!

By Mitch Berg

Just think how much worse this story would be if Britons had the means and legal right to resist violent crime.

When American gun-grab advocates talk about the UK’s crime rate, they gloss over the fact that general violent crime in the UK Is higher than in the US.

Someone tell Representative Martens.

I just read a story about how that Sweden is currently experiencing violent, immigrant-inspired riots. Apparently the police shot and killed a 69-year-old machete-wielding immigrant, and his countrymen have started a memorial fire using cars, buildings, and the property of others.

    Per USA Today:

“Sweden has been traditionally welcoming of refugees and 15% of residents in the country are foreign-born, one of the highest ratios in Europe. But over the past two decades, Swedes have been increasingly worried over immigrants failing to integrate and the cost to the state in benefits. This concern has spurred the success of the anti-immigrant far right party, the Sweden Democrats, which won enough votes to enter Parliament for the first time in 2010 and is polling in third place in the run up to elections next year.”

The story raises many questions. Among them is how the cops managed to shoot the machete man. They must have had to send someone to Finland to get a gun and find someone who knew how to use it.

A murder in England yesterday involved two immigrants exercising their religious views by chopping a British soldier to death with meat cleavers and butcher knives on a city street. Fortunately, guns were not used. 20 minutes later responding police shot the two attackers. It probably took so long because they had to get the gun required for the job from Sweden.

The Daily Mail story, unlike the USA Today story, is quite clear in indentifying the perpertrators as Muslim fanatics who were clearly evil. British Muslim groups have also condemned the killing as an act that has no foundation in Islamic ideology.

Unfortunately, there were no firearms present at either scene to share in the blame.

Shortly after 9/11 & the US invasion of Afghanistan, I was talking with a new hire at work about the topics of the day. He told me that we had our own Taliban to worry about right here (meaning the US). I told him I thought the Taliban were strictly an Afghanistan thing.
Turns out he was talking about Pat Robertson, the viewers of the 700 Club, and (for some reason) Timothy McVeigh.
Most conservatives do not realize how loopy liberals are.

I think many conservatives do, in fact, realize how loopy liberals are.

If fact even some not so conservative or even apolitical only need to look to the fact that Barbara Boxer, in attempt to push for a carbon tax, blamed global warming for the Moore, Oklahoma tornado…a town that has been affected at least twice before by tornadoes…right in what has long been known as “tornado alley”.

While the situtation in Moore is most certainly serious…a line like that hearkens back to something that might have been uttered by actress Suzanne Somers in her portrayal of Chrissy Snow on the ’70’s sitcom Three’s Company.

England is also the country that sends homeowners to prison for “assaulting” burglars that have broken into their homes. Who’d of thought England needed a “Castle Doctrine”?

I noted in several of the news accounts that it took the police 20 minutes to arrive on the scene, giving the (literally) red-handed suspects plenty of time to chin-wag with the spectators while they waited. I wonder if no citizens tried to intervene in the assault because they were afraid of being arrested, or concerned the police union would file a work grievance?

I’d forgotten what NW mentions. So yes, not only were the bystanders unarmed, they also were also discouraged by law from helping. Brilliant moves by Parliament, I say. At least if you want to encourage brutal murders in public.

Here is a YouTube link concerning the Swedish riots from RT.

It’s a very sad day when you get better journalism out of Russia than our own media.

Here’s a Daily Mail article with a nice chart you can use to dispel the myths about how much safer Europe is than we are over here:

According to a news story I just heard, the peace-loving animals were successful in their beheading and were able to post it somewhere on-line.

I hope that British incarcerated criminals share some traits with ours …
