The bad news: it looks like an Obama administration is going to be too brittle to take the heat:
[Orlando TV reporter Barbara] West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama’s comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn’t being a Marxist with the “spreading the wealth” comment.
“Are you joking?” said Biden, who is Obama’s running mate. “No,” West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America’s days as the world’s leading power were over.
“I don’t know who’s writing your questions,” Biden shot back.
Biden so disliked West’s line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate’s wife.
“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”
“Dear Messrs. Putin and Ahmadinejad: you will have no access to anyone in our administration until you learn to ask only softball questions”.
The good news? At least Obama’s campaign didn’t sic its legal droogs and hordes of petitionmongering sycophants to threaten the station’s broadcast license.
Yet.

Please. James/Jeff Guckert/Gannon wrote those questions. Yet you get all outraged when Katie Couric asked Sarah Palin the hardball “what newspapers do you read?”
It’s sad to see you blow all your credibility, Mitch. McCain is going to lose and you really need to start thinking about an exit strategy.

I think you overestimate the affection conservatives have for McCain. And of course, there is an old tradition we patriotic Americans call an “election” that has to occur before we know who will take the oath in January.
How’s that lieut. governor of yours’ doing with his IRS problems? Democrat, isn’t he? For some reason you NY types always vote for crooks. Say, who’s favored to win New York’s electoral votes next month?

After Biden’s interview with Barbara West, he sounded like a pouty child in cancelling his wife’s interview. I wonder why his wife didn’t have any guts to say she wanted to be interviewed by Barbara to rebut some of the questions she asked Biden. Is she a liberal illuminati elitists without a voice of her own?
