Open Letter To The Broadcast Media

Re: News
All,
When carrying broadcast packages involving Governor Palin on the campaign trail, it is not necessary to use Saturday Night Live’s parody of Governor Palin as a coda to every single piece on the subject.
The parody may have been news a month or so ago (along with the “news” that SNL finally has perhaps its third passably-funny bit since Norm MacDonald left the cast). A month later, it is a weekly bit on an (I’ll be charitable) entertainment show. It happens as regularly as Linday Lohan passing out in a puddle of vomit. This isn’t even “dog bites man”, it’s “dog piddles on tree”.
Giving Tina Fey a half-week-old last word on every one of Governor Palin’s statements is sort of like appending Zach Braff’s or Hugh Laurie’s impression of a doctor onto every story about healthcare. To the best of my knowledge, no network news department (except perhaps MSNBC) does this.
See to this. Thanks.
That is all.

Thin.
Skin.
Rabbit.
Ears.
It was hilarious, it wasn’t passably funny, it was enough to bring tears to your eyes (well, to at least mine).
Maybe next week they can get Sarah saying that the Fatherland doesn’t abide people knowing liberals, or anyone who ever dissented or committed acts of civil (or uncivil) disobedience – even if they were never convicted of a crime and had all charges dropped for prosecutorial misconduct, and the person didn’t know them until 30 years AFTER the even AND condemned the actions. Uber Alles, mein Frau! – oh I’m just kidding!

Peev, Ayers is not a liberal. He is a communist. He has said that he is a communist. He has also confessed to planting bombs. No ‘prosecutorial misconduct’ there.
Ayers was born into wealth and privilege and he plotted to kill soldiers and policeman. Soldiers and policemen are come primarily from the working class. They didn’t get to go to the prep schools and colleges that produced Ayers.

Peev’s getting peeved, guys. This isn’t just evidenced by his use of German to “subtly” suggest that someone is National Socialist-like… it is evidenced by his frustration that he didn’t work with a man Peev considers a visionary:
William Ayers.

Hmm. depends. Did the liberal try to blow stuff up? Was he planning on blowing up people with pipe bombs loaded with roofing nails? Was he guilty of said acts, but the prosecutors messed up and he willing admits he was guilty of said acts? Did Obama condemn the acts after people started sniffing around the relationship, or had he done so from the beginning? Suppose Byron De La Beckwith, had been exposed to double jepordy from his first trial and had never been convicted in his trial 30 years later. Ok to be his friend? Get back to me on that.

Hey, for you wackos who think Ayers was a terrorist, I suppose you also think the Birmingham church bombers were terrorists too. Well, I have news for you. They were just activists in troubled times. (that is sarcasm for those you didn’t pick up on that).
Yes, channel surfing on the way to work this morning, and two different stations were playing Fey paradies at the same time.
Would this be fair? Since a Chicago bar has a naked painting of Governor Palin, can they also have a painting of Barry Obama eating fried chicken and watermelon? I mean, if sexism is accepted and encourage, why not a little old fashioned racist stereotypes.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
Silly Chuck. That painting would only be considered offensive if she was a democrat. Like if was a naked picture of Hillary. Huh, just threw up a little in my mouth. (for those who feel insulted or think I was just sexist, think about it for a minute)

Wouldn’t be happening if she weren’t such a lightweight.
Sorry, *maverick hockey mom* lightweight.

Um, yeah.
’nuff said.
