Don’t Deport Piers Morgan

By Mitch Berg

Just move him out of his secured apartment building and make him live in a regular working-class house in Newark or Detroit or Chicago for a while.

Ditto David Gregory.

He’s welcome to spend a few weeks in my posh N. Minneapolis pied-à-terre.

Loved the tweet from Jeremy Clarkson, the host of my favorite BBC show “Top Gear” had to say re: Piers Morgan: “Americans. It took us 40 years to get rid of Piers Morgan. Please don’t send him back”.
I’m glad Morgan has said what he said. Speaking out – even if you are a non-citizen – is allowed by government here unlike his beloved merry olde England where you are a loyal subject of her Majesty and her Majesty’s government. He may lose viewers and advertisers – as the Liberal radio station in Columbus, OH did to the point that it folded after humping for Obama for a year. But the government shouldn’t do anything about him beyond checking to see that he has the proper “papers” to be here.
As for David Gregory – now that it has been revealed that he violated the law even in the face of being told prior it would be a violation – throw the book at him. If they don’t – hopefully some Lyrnd Foote type will go and represent all the people who have been convicted of the violation and sue for DC’s selective prosecution.

Let’s face it, if we were fishing and caught a Piers-Morgan fish, we’d do the lake a huge service by digging a hole and dropping it in.

Judging by the ratings I’m guessing many are asking “What’s a Piers Morgan?”, just as they are with “What’s a CNN?”. Let him say what he wants, very-very few are listening.

I wouldn’t deport him for what he said. But, I’m pretty sure an American could do his current job. So, assuming he has a H1 or H1b work visa, I’d revoke that in favor of employing an American.

looks as though the Brits are not best pleased with the notion of getting him back:

Would it be an act of war if we sent him to Canada?

Well kel; after his Tweet asking if any other country would have him. I haven’t heard of any offers to do so!
