That Deep-Down Ugly

The Good News:  Esquire has named Mila Kunis “the Sexiest Woman Alive”.

Now, titles like that always made me wonder; do they wait until the previously reigning “sexiest woman alive” dies, relinquishes her throne, or gets un-sexy?  Or do they kill off last year’s winner?

Anyway – the bad news:  Kunis has that deep-down ugly:

“The way that Republicans attack women is so offensive to me,” Kunis exclaims. “And the way they talk about religion is offensive. I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time? And it’s baffling to me how a poor person in Georgia can say, ‘I’m a Republican.’ Why?”

Esquire is to politics as Vogue is to hunting, of course.

So to go out on the good news:

Nobody cares what Mila Kunis thinks about politics.

  1. FWIW to me she seems good until she opens her mouth. Pretty on the outside, not so much on the inside.

My vote would go to most if not all the Fox babes over Mila.

  2. Beauty is an elusive and elastic thing. My idea of a timeless Hollywood beauty was Terri Garr. On the other hand, Sarah Jessica Parker is supposed to be a goddess but to me she is a gangly, homely woman with an ugly set of values. Go figure. Then again, I think I’m a stud. Go figure.

  3. It might be a stretch for this thread but…
“My idea of a timeless Hollywood beauty……..”
My wife and I were just talking about it the other day, a young Lucille Ball, or maybe Donna Reed.
Mitch, It might be fun to compare choices on gals of yesterday, and gals more recent.

  4. Timeless babeitude:

    1) Ingrid Bergman
    2) Teresa Wright
    3) Audrey Hepburn
    4) Scarlett Johannson (seriously)
    5) Selma Hayek.

    I rest my case.

  5. Two words: Audrey Hepburn. Note that the unveiling of skin isn’t a requirement when one considers beauty. My mother’s admonition to my sister is still valid: It’s not what you show -it’s what you don’t show.

  6. Whenever I hear that song “Only Prettier” by Miranda Lambert, my mental video involves Sarah Palin & friends Michelle Malkin, Jedediah Bila, ect. singing the tune to Barbara Mikulski(D-MD), Rosa DeLauro and their leftist pals….

  7. Timeless Babeitude:
    Then – Lauren Bacall
    Less Then – Julie Christie
Much Less Then – Michelle Pfeiffer
    Now – Charlize Theron

  8. Teresa Wright is a very good pick — seriously underrated.

I’ll throw in some 60s flava — Diana Rigg, Peggy Lipton and Anna Karina.

  9. I want to add one more to the list of Today’s Beauties:

    Stacy Dash………….Good Lord……..STUNNING!!!

Boy, did Esquire get it all wrong.
