“Know Thy Station, Serfs!”

In their campaign to take down Chip Cravaack, the Alliance for a “Better” Minnesota has just launched the dumbest campaign in the history of stupid ABM campaigns, “Keeping up with the Cravaacks”.

The message:  “A lifetime of service, savings, prudent investment and hard work leading to prosperity are something to be mocked”.

This, as the DFL’s environmentalist pals do their best to lower “the average Northern Minnesotan’s” income.

This is the Minnesota DFL in action.

  1. I was surprised by the number of Craavack signs I saw up on Da Range and how few for his opponent Nolan.

Plenty of We Support Mining or Mining Supports Us signs are dotting lawns up there as well. People are beginning to realize that the enviromentalist agenda means far fewer jobs.

Does any of this translate into problems for the DFL? The Congressional seat isn’t as safe as it once was, I think its close this year. Would love to see a few Republican pickups in the State Legislature but, I think that is a long shot. However, I think at least some of their agenda is going to be harder to pass in the range.

  2. Envy and jealousy aren’t pretty. But as a motivator, they areeffective. As much as Democrats hate traditional values, give them credit for using historical tools.

  3. I can say from my days of living in NE Minnesota that a lot of people have second homes (lake homes) and there are a lot of $38,000 pickup trucks being driven around. Is the DFL saying that anyone who buys an expensive truck is some kind of aloof elitist? Drive by the Duluth main fire station on First street and appraise the value of the pickups in the employee parking lot. Or the parking lot at Minntac.

  4. Why does A-Klo refuse to join Chip in helping to bring jobs to da Range?

Chuck, don’t forget about all the nice boats, snowmachines, and wheelers they got up north.
