Open Letter To USA Networks

Re: Criminal Intent
Guys,
One of the “gimmicks” on all of the shows of the Law and Order franchise is the relatively high turnover on the various casts.
For example, in the years since Chris Noth was brought back from Staten Island and onto Criminal Intent, he’s been through a few partners – he’s even recycling one from a couple of years ago, now.
But given the way the writing of the show has changed since CI jumped from NBC to USA, I have a suggestion for next season.
Angela Lansbury.
Thanks. Hey, we gotta do lunch. Have your people call my people. Is that your Audi?
That is all.

I like the Law and Order/Cold Case/etc series, but I know who the bad guy is 3 minutes into the show. It is the hetrosexual white male businessman/military veteran.

Wow, Chuck, you’re an idiot. You can’t even watch TV intelligently.
Awesome idea, Mitch. And I’m thinking Andy Griffith as the chief assistant DA. And there’s got to be a spot for Tom Bosley somewhere.

And Doug McClure as the ME!

The point, of course, isn’t so much the casting, as the observation that “L’nO/CI”‘s stories and plots have started seeming more like “Murder She Wrote” (Magician killed by jealous magician? Huh-wha?) than, say, Law and Order.

There is also a pressing need to make it “A Quinn Martin Production,” too. That way you can list out all the anonymous character actors at the beginning of the show.
They should also work in 70s TV movie actress Kay Lenz. And maybe the Bartender guy from the Love Boat.

I just keep watching old Columbo mysteries… especially when Patrick McGoohan is directing or guest starring.
