Why We Fight

By Mitch Berg

“So why do you spend so much time on the Second Amendment? Are you (titter, titter) compensating for something?”

Yes. I’m compensating for the fact that much of humanity is evil, and much of the rest of them are as dumb as you. No, I’m not saying you’re party to totalitarian dictatorship; merely that dictators need people like you to be in the majority for them to take power.

Shut up, watch and learn.

If I had to choose whether to stand by a Mitch Berg or a Mark Dayton, who do you think I would choose?

Kerm, it’s more like you’d be standing by a Mitch Berg versus in the fetal postition under a desk/hopping the first plane out with GuvJimBeam.

  5. Mr. D Says:

I’d stand by Mitch, too. Besides being steadfast, he’s tall enough to provide shade.

There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that if sort of people who were caterwauling at Wellstone’s funeral ever gained real power in this country, they would be more than willing to have the likes of us rounded up and machine gunned into the nearest ditch. The second amendment is our shield against that, and that is why who is on the Supreme Court matters, which is why who wins the Presidential election in November matters, which is why I (very reluctantly) part company with the Paulites and Libertarians. The stakes are simply too high this time.
