Here’s A Question For Minnesota Republicans

If you are a MNGOP activist, and you live in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th Congressional Districts, I have  a question for you.

What involvement does your district have with your district’s congressional andn legislative races?    How does your Congressional district assist your various campaigns at all levels?

Just looking for info, here.

Just leave me an answer in the comment section.

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE AND CLARIFICATION:  And while I do love hearing from all my friends here in the comment section, this post is not intended as a clearinghouse for reasons one is not an activist anymore.

  1. I gave up being an activist. My knee is wrecked from all the jerking. It’s time for the angry young men to get a clue a do something.

  2. Maybe reversing the question would be helpful? If your Republican CD organization is NOT about getting Republicans elected, what the h___ are you good for?

  3. As a former BPOU and CD chair, I saw coordination between both in the legislative and congressional races.

In CD1, almost every district crosses BPOU (county) lines, so they have to work together for endorsements and general elections for legislative races. And the district party acts as a clearinghouse for legislative races-helping to move money and volunteers from areas that have more to ones that have less.

Congressional races are more of a hybrid, with the CD having a working relationship with the congressional campaign, as well as the candidate having a liaison in each BPOU.

It’s far from peak efficiency, but given the width of CD1 it is more cohesive than you might think.

  4. Berg has a better shot at Marisa Tomei than CD5 has of getting a GOP rep.
