Agenda journalism is interesting. I don’t believe in conspiracies, so I know this isn’t planned, but instead is just group think.
Susan G Koman-Planned Parenthood thing. The news stories were basically Planned Parenthood press releases.
Emmer – Target- gay marriage – pro-business group. By reading how Big Media reported the story, you’d think 90% of the population was for changing the definition of marriage.
And this story. I found it strange when Big Media linked this story to 2nd amendment rights issues. They are using this to push for anti-gun ownership rights. Notice how they are not mentioning the fact that the shooter is an Hispanic-American. That doesn’t fit their agenda.

Chuck, it has been apparent for some time that the anti “stand your ground forces” were driven by the belief that it would license white property owners to shoot poor minority thieves. Everything is about race to them.
They can’t come right out and say this, though, because it would confirm what most people know — that poor people (who are over represented by minorities) commit a disproportionate amount of street crime.

Re my last comment: I am uncomfortable with simply saying that minorities commit a disproportionate amount of street crime. It’s about poverty and its pathologies. In areas like cities (where the media are headquartered) minorities are over represented. In rural America, it ain’t gonna be some gang-banger that breaks into your garage, it’s going to be some hillbilly.

But on the other hand, I am so far into the future! The Powerline guys wrote about this topic: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2012/03/no-justice-no-agitation.php
And Instapundit linked it.
One day the Right may actually see the curveballs coming at them. You respond to a controversy thinking that it is about cherished 2nd amendment rights, and the pitch is racism. It is always racism. Whatever the Left says about “income inequality”, the justice system, war, etc., it is always and only about racism. It’s the only arrow left in their quiver.
