This Is Not What Recovery Looks Like

Unemployment is way way way back up in February, says Gallup:

Unemployment in the U.S. rose to nine percent in mid-February, up from 8.3 percent a month earlier, according to a new Gallup survey. The polling company said this suggests that it is “premature” to assume the economy will not feature prominently in the 2012 election season.

Cue Democrats sniveling “Republicans are rooting for a bad economy”.

No.  We are rooting for the biggest thing standing in the way of a good economy, our current Administration and Senate, being sent home in disgrace.

  1. Obama’s unemployment contortions remind me of the time my wife convinced me to try a Low Fat Diet so we spent hours reading labels in the grocery store. Hey, this brownie mix has 25% less fat. Cool, we can have brownies on this diet! Hang on, it’s the same ingredients as the regular box that serves 24, but this box serves 36.

The reason each brownie has less fat is THEY CUT THEM SMALLER!

I used the same logic with my grandkids. Instead of cutting the apple into four quarters, I cut the quarters in half . . . so we’d GET MORE. Hey, eight is more than four, right? So you’re getting more apple, right?

The five-year-old caught on right away to my fake logic. The President would be praying America won’t catch on to his fake logic . . .if praying were allowed on government property in the White House.

  2. If we had a national press in this country that wasn’t completely supine, the BLS’ cooking of the unemployment books would be a national story. But we don’t, so good work, Mitch.
