You Never Count Your Money When You’re Sitting At The Table

Doug Grow in the MinnPest does an endzone happy dance over the kickoff of Minneapolis City Hall’s new, hideously expensive, purely symbolic “Green Roof”:

Workers will begin tossing dirt on conservative talk radio skeptics and 5,000 square feet of roof at the Minneapolis City Hall Saturday.

Just a hunchy, Duggles, but I don’t think the last dirt’s been tossed on this issue.

We’re gonna keep this one on the radar for a loooooong time.

Bear in mind, I don’t oppose the idea of a “green roof”, per se.  I think that, colossal waste of money aside, it’s a perfectly fine idea.

Of course, there’s that “colossal waste” bit I’m having a hard time getting around.

  1. If he’s ‘Duggles’ in the “Grape Jelly on my Sammich, Mommy” Crowd, does tthat make you Miggles?

If you’re so concerned about costs of roofs, tell me Migg, how do you feel about a shrub who, before he leaves offices, will have added almost 4 Trillion to the national debt? The roof over the nations ‘fiscal head’ has a hole the size of Texas, or, as you might like to think of it, “it’s got a weally weally weally BIG window for letting in da rain, Mommy.” Pot meet Kettle, once again, you’re only concerned when it’s politically convenient.

    And we are off topic.

, will have added almost 4 Trillion to the national debt?

I’ve made my displeasure at Bush’s fiscal policies amply clear.

As usual, Piggles Peev, you’re wrong. I’ve ragged on Bush’s economics and his frankly worse-than-Clinton spending since before I even had this blog.

you’re only concerned when it’s politically convenient.
