Two Americas

By Mitch Berg

There are two Americas.

One of them admires former terrorist thug Bill Ayers.  Y’know – the major political influence that Barack Obama hasn’t tried to underbusify yet.

That is an American flag he’s standing on (although this first America doesn’t care much).

The other America doesn’t.

Smug and arrogant. This douche is proud to be standing on our flag. I guess Democrats haven’t progressed much since their cross burning days.

Read a comment yesterday that one reason O’bama isn’t fit to be President is that he can’t tell the difference between someone who wants to change our country because he/she loves it, and someone who wants to change America becuase they hate it and think the US is the worst entity in the world. BHO spends way too much time with the latter.

  2. RickDFL Says:

So who is giving Bill Ayers free publicity standing on the American flag – Mitch Berg GOP activist. I guess the Republican Party promotes the desecration of the U.S. flag. For shame traitors.

  3. Chuck Says:

I see that Congresslady Moore from Milwaukee is doing a lot of campaigning for Obama. It is her son who sabatoged the Republican vans in the early morning hours of election day in 2004. The vans that were to be used to transport voters. No voter suppression there?

  4. angryclown Says:

Angryclown chuckles at the increasing desperation of your wingnut attacks.

Did you know McCain lived for 5 1/2 years in a Communist country in the ’60s, surrounded by Marxist ideologues? It’s true!

  5. Yossarian Says:

I don’t know if I’d call what McCain experienced “living.”

  6. Mitch Berg Says:

Even by your standards, Rick, that’s obtuse and desperate.

  7. RickDFL Says:

    Mitch:
Guilty as charged. When I see Republicans promoting the desecration of the flag, my desire for calm rational debate just evaporates.

  8. nerdbert Says:

Rick, there’s quite a bit of difference between promoting and exposing. You might try removing ideological blinders occasionally.

  9. angryclown Says:

Looks to me like he’s standing behind the flag. Maybe somebody walking by accidentally dropped a flag and this guy’s about to pick it up and do something superpatriotic, like put it over the head of a Saddam Hussein statue.

  10. Mitch Berg Says:

    He’d melt.

Looks to me like he’s standing behind the flag

If Ayers is standing behind a flag, look for him to start unzipping.

  11. angryclown Says:

You wingnuts unzip when you see the flag too. Only you’re packing wood.

  12. Mitch Berg Says:

Actually, with me it’s called “major timber”. Because that’s a lot more descriptive than “wood” if you catch my drift.

  13. angryclown Says:

Cause it takes two strong lumberjacks to bring it down?

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

  14. nerdbert Says:

Da Clown and homoerotic comments, joined at the hip.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

    But it sure is suggestive.

  15. nerdbert Says:

Oh, we could wish he could get behind the flag, but the idea of that much patriotism would probably turn Ayer’s stomach.

Carefully examine his left foot. His right *might* be behind the flag, but his left foot is pretty clearly on the flag. The imagery pretty much sums up the entire political situation with respect to patriotism and the flag.

Well it’s nice to know that the desire was there, even if the ability has never materialized.

    The other America doesn’t.

The other America doesn’t…what? The other America doesn’t doesn’t care much?

  18. angryclown Says:

I dunno Mitch, the only time I ever see any flag desecration is on wingnut blogs. You guys get in such a tizzy any time some kook tries to roast marshmallows over the stars and stripes, you give him tons of exposure.

You know, kinda like you digging up a 2001 photo of Ayers standing near a flag. (“Oh-oh! What’s his left foot doing?!!!!”)

  19. angryclown Says:

The other America – the people who vote for Democratic candidates, Tim in StP – are pro-desecration and tend to use the American flag to polish their fancy furniture and wipe their asses. If you don’t support torture, drilling in Alaska and Jesus H. Christ in the schools, you’re not actually an American. Right, you kooky wingnuts?

  20. Badda Says:

“When I see Republicans promoting the desecration of the flag…”

What do you do when someone promotes the exposure of a Godless Commie who desecrates the flag?

  21. Master of None Says:

Maybe if Ayers would have killed more people as he wished he would have, then people/clowns like AC might understand why we don’t like the guy.

    Maybe not.

  22. Mitch Berg Says:

Cause it takes two strong lumberjacks to bring it down?

No, because the National Geographic did a special on it.

It’s so big, it doesn’t return my calls anymore.

  23. Master of None Says:

Drew Carey called. He’d like his joke back.

  24. Colleen Says:

There’s another picture out there where he is jumping on it-gleefully. Same setting. I remember thinking he looked like an idiot (an uncoordinated idiot at that). So, there is no possiblity that he is just standing ‘by’ the flag.

  25. swiftee Says:

I love watching moonbats cast their spittle flecked disrespect on our country and it’s people.

It makes me feel very proud to know that our Democracy is secure enough that acts that would garner a necklacing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necklacing) in many countries need only be countered with laughter here.

  26. Mitch Berg Says:

Drew Carey called. He’d like his joke back

Damn. Was that where I heard it?

  27. angryclown Says:

Really, Colleen? Yet it’s not the (seven-year-old) article Mitch linked. Nor, apparently, anywhere else on the Internet, despite the fact that you wingnuts are all hot and heavy on the guy. But I’m sure you’re right.

  28. Badda Says:

Colleen, you’re thinking of AC… not Ayers.

  29. Mitch Berg Says:

    (seven-year-old) article

If he’s changed his spots, I’ll post a retraction and apology.
