Thank You, Veterans

I’m one of the 98% that never served in the military.

And there’s really not much I can say, especially after the past ten years or so, other than “thank you”, whoever you are and where-ever and whenever you served.

UPDATE:  Veterans Day started as a memory of the carnage of “The Great War”.  2011 was, of course, the year tha last known American World War I veteran passed away.

  1. Mitch, I am one veteran that holds no ill will against anyone that did not serve, unless they show disrespect of any kind towards people that did. You have always been respectful and thankful to us dog faces, gyrenes, ramp rats/fly boys and swabbies. For that, I thank you!

  2. I never served, but I’m VERY, VERY gratefull to those that are now, or have in the past. I mourn for those that have lost their life in that service.

  3. “Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier, or not having been at sea.”
