Glad I clicked the link. For a moment there, I thought you’d been partying with the Fraters guys again.

Certainly, let’s send the bail to Iran. Attached to a cruise missile.

Call it foreign aid or call it chump change, let’s hope this is the last time we have to get US hostages out of Iran.
September 13th, 2011 at 10:55 am
Maybe we could just send weapons instead, like Ronnie did.
You know, to the moderates.

Angryclown is a right winger who wanted Saddamn to win the war.

I think we should complete the circle and trade the two hikers for Jimmy Carter.
Over thirty years have passed and we are still paying for the studied incompetence of that jackass.

They call it bail. You call it ransom. I call it tuition, and the bill should be sent to them.

While it’s nice to see Angryclown come out of commenting retirement, he really is off his game. His hiatus spoiled him like a tuna sandwich left out in the sun.

Comical how you wingtards blame the Democrat who served in the White House from 1977 to 1981 for everything bad that’s happened on the planet since.
A shame the two terms of St. Ronnie, one of Bush senior and two of Shrub couldn’t wipe out all the evil done by that one incredibly effective, albeit evil, president!

I call it extortion. I figure if they won’t release our citizens then maybe we ought to be considering the commissioning of a new USS Vincennes.

” . . . blame the Democrat who served in the White House from 1977 to 1981 for everything bad that’s happened on the planet since. ”
I wish you lefties would quit whining about being held responsible for the actions of lefties. Man up, for Christ’s sake..

I seem to recall massive vapors and wailing from your side about how W was going to keep rolling once Iraq was done and go into Iran, especially when the Revolutionary Guards were found inside Iraq training insurgents. Seems your side didn’t want Iran to pay for that. So make up your mind, do you want us to take them out or don’t you?
BTW, I did suggest sending weapons to Iran. But I’d prefer to send them to the hardliners fully armed and operational for “demonstration” purposes. And we’ll happily repeat any that didn’t work or whose operation they didn’t quite understand.

Angryclown has no side, dumbass. His humble purpose in life is to identify and condemn the myriad idiocies of the American wingnut.

The arms-for-hostages scandal was very bad — you do not want the chief executive to spend any funds that congress does not authorize, period.
Nevertheless the long term effect of Iran-Contra is negligible.
On the other hand , you can draw a straight line from Carter’s feckless handling of the Soviet Union and the Islamic Republic of Iran to Al Qaida, Hezbollah, 9-11, and God only knows how many terrorist deaths in Lebanon and Israel.

@Terry – AC don’t care about Israel.

Clownie is the quintessential pointless drone. As I said before, he has a flip card he just refers to when making a “comment”.
September 13th, 2011 at 9:56 pm
Lebanon? Gee you’re dumb, Terry. Or maybe just too young to remember St. Ronnie ordering the Marines to retreat from Lebanon in ’83?
Maybe Jimmy Carter made him do it.
September 13th, 2011 at 11:18 pm
Hezbollah bombed the barracks. Hezbollah is an arm of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As iI wrote earlier, Angry Clown, I may not be smart, but I am smarter than you are.
Or maybe you are just young and immature. I remember that after the bombing; Reagan was under pressure from congress to withdraw from Lebanon.
There were still a lot of the back stabbers who had bailed on our South Vietnamese allies in congress in ’83.
Whether Reagan was right or wrong to withdraw after the bombings, the weakness of Jimmy Carter allowed the Islamic Republic of Iran to think that it could attack us with impunity. During the Revolution they not only invaded US territory (the embassy in Teheran), they took American citizens hostage while Jimmy sat in his rose garden and tried to talk sense into people as fanatical as Osama Bin Laden.
He was as bad a president as the US has ever had. Even Obama is better.

Terry alibied: “Jimmy sat in his rose garden and tried to talk sense into people as fanatical as Osama Bin Laden.”
Where was St. Ronnie sitting when he ordered the Marines to flee?
“Reagan was under pressure from congress to withdraw from Lebanon.”
Oh, boohoo! Maybe you wingnuts should have elected a president who could stand up to “pressure from Congress.”

Breaking snark from 1983. What did Father Coughlin have to say about it, Pagliacci?
