Wackjob town in Vermont refers an initiative to arrest Bush and Cheney for “war crimes”:
Brattleboro residents will vote at town meeting on whether President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should be indicted and arrested for war crimes, perjury or obstruction of justice if they ever step foot in Vermont.
I think the rest of the US should vote to bestow a fate worse than prison.
Maybe having to share a hotel room for a weekend with Tim O’Brien and Matt Snynders.

Seriously, they may be guilty of war crimes, whether you want to mock the idea or not, truth is still truth. They invented a pretext for war that was, seemingly knowingly, pure ficiton. They relied upon the statements of knowingly dishonest men, paid attention to ONLY the facts that supported their case, and distorted and lied about those facts, both before and after the invastion. They then invaded a country for which insufficient justification for war existed, and over the objection of the UN inspectors, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. If that’s not a war crime to you, Mitch, what is?
I know, perhaps once Romney is elected, Supreme Court Justices Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh can try the case and unbaisedly determine whether Cheney or Bush should stand trial.

Actually the Brattleboro wackjobs just violated the constitution. A legislative body cannot vote that someone committed a crime. But no one ever accused the smelly hippy-freaks in Vermont as being educated.
The only surprise is that it was the only nutzo Brattleboro and not the completely wacked out Middlebury that took this step.
