Debate
By Mitch Berg
The League Of Women Voters is holding a debate between the candidates in the SD66 election.
It’s tomorrow at 6PM at the Hamline Midway Library.
Greg Copeland – the GOP-endorsed candidate running against DFL-and-union endorsed Professor Mary Jo McGuire – could use a cheering section!
Hope to see you there!

Why is it the League of Women Voters is the standard platform for candidate debate. They always end up stacking the deck with ‘civic-minded’ women who ask about their favorite library subsidies or bus routes. Conservatives would be better served if we rounded up a bunch of drunks from Rice Park or Loring Park and promised them a bottle if they would start an argument.
Then, we could see how the candidates dance!
