On the One Hand…

…congratulations to Ben from Hammerschawing and Mall Diva from Nightwriter on their recent engagement announcement of courtship.
They’re a cute couple…
…if you tape a piece of paper over Ben’s side of the picture, anyway. Lucky is the guy who can “marry up”.
On the other hand, be careful, kids. Strom is lurking.
UPDATE: Not engaged yet; courting, as the father of the bride notes in the comments. I plead fatigue on first reading. I’m not so familiar with this particular institution.

This is a very happy time for “the kids” as well as for my wife and I and for Ben’s parents. It’s important to note, however, that while marriage to each other is very much the focus for Ben and Faith (Mall Diva), they are not engaged. They have announced their courtship, and there is a distinction. I won’t go into it here, but I hope they will both write more about this in coming months, as it is a path that they themselves have chosen.

Thanks Mitch. You’re absolutely right, she is very beautiful, but that ain’t the half of it. I’ll be putting up some posts in the near future to explain “this particular institution”. It’s worth knowing about, especially if you’ve got kids!
