The Best Look Back
By Mitch Berg
David Warren takes an oblique look back at ’07:
The journalist’s prayer, at the end of each year, should be, “I don’t know what happened in the year just passed, and I won’t know what is happening next year. Lord preserve me from the smugness of those who think they know, and help me to see thy truth.”
So go there and read the whole thing.

The Strib’s end of year round up is 43 paragraphs of nothing but doom and gloom. Not one mention of one single good thing that happened this year.
It’s a wonder anyone made it through the year with their life still intact, if you base your outlook on that.

It was interesting to learn of the originator of the “Big Bang” theory. Perhaps some of my less conservative friends think of the “Big Bang” as established fact, but that may be simply because they have misplaced the meaning of the word “theory” (along with others like “marriage” and “reality”). 😉
I always thought Einstein had crazy rock star hair, but I had not considered that it might be one of the reasons for his popularity.
