From The Ridiculous To The…Er, Sublimely Ridiculous

By Mitch Berg

K-Eck from Eckernet notes that Hillary’s planted answers might be actually better than her supporters’ sincere support:

Andrew Young, civil rights activists, apparently was making the argument for the Clintons being “more black” than Obama. And as justification for that he had this to say…

“He’s probably gone with more black women than Barack,” Young said of former President Clinton, drawing laughter from a live television audience.

Erhm – by that rationale, I’m more hispanic than Clinton…

I have no doubt that is true….and that’s just since he married Hillary. Although I’m not sure the sexual prowness is really a critical skill needed to be president.

Although it apparently doesn’t hurt with the “feminist” vote, if the former President’s record is any indication.

On a more serious note:

Probably more troubling is this…

Young went on to say that Obama needs a protective network that he currently lacks – a quality that could hurt him if he were to be elected. He said Hillary Clinton already has that kind of network, including her husband to back her up.

Heh, if everything you plan on doing is legal and ethical, how critical is that??

Without that extended Clinton network of hacks, lawyers and media sycophants, how will Obama survive?

I suppose White House travel office employees can breathe easier if Obie wins…

We’re talking Bill here. I wouldn’t lay money on that.

  2. Terry Says:

Hillary’s problem is that people who aren’t Dem partisans don’t feel nostalgic about the Clinton’s. Having Bill campaign for her is a double-edged sword. This isn’t 1998 anymore.

  3. angryclown Says:

Yeah, who would be nostalgic about peace, prosperity and competent government?

  4. Mitch Says:

who would be nostalgic about peace, prosperity and competent government?

    Anyone who remembers Reagan!

  5. Terry Says:

    Ah, yes . . . I did mention Dem partisans, didn’t I?

  6. angryclown Says:

who would be nostalgic about peace, prosperity and competent government?

    “Anyone who remembers Reagan! ”

    Zero outta three ain’t bad!

    Oh wait, that’s pretty bad.

  7. Mitch Says:

    Zero outta three ain’t bad!

Hah! Silly Clown. That’s why you grease-painted wags make us laugh!

End of cold war, immense prosperity, and a government that at least on some level knew its major mission; get out of our lives.

In other words, “the good ol’ days”.

I give it a four out of three, which – like finding that extra clown in the little car – is mighty good!

  8. Terry Says:

HRC is a centrist Democrat who turns off the independent voter. This is not good for the Dems. The only other candidate they can fall back on is Obama, and not only are Obama’s politics far to the left than Hillary’s, he’s never had to appeal to a moderate electorate.
And one day the media will discover that the high school Obama attended on Oahu, Punahou Academy, is a snooty prep school for rich non-locals.

  9. Terry Says:

And clown, the Clinton administration AG was apparently too busy burning children to death or sending them back to communist dictatorships to notice a cabal of Saudi terrorists plotting the worst terrorist attack in the history of the planet.
Gotta love that Clinton era competence!

  10. angryclown Says:

Terry predicted: “And one day the media will discover that the high school Obama attended on Oahu, Punahou Academy, is a snooty prep school for rich non-locals.”

Yeah, God forbid someone should find out that Obama went to a good school.

(Guessing you didn’t get into Punahou.)

  11. Terry Says:

    You’re flailing again, AC.
I went to a Minnesota public school.
Punahou is where most of the state gov’t bureaucrats — including those who run the public school system — send their kids, though if they’ve got Hawaiian blood they try for King Kamehaha schools first. Anything to get their kids out of the public school system they’re responsible for.

  12. Kermit Says:

Ah yes, the peace and prosperity of the halcyon Clinton era.
On the peace end you had Bosnia/Serbia, Rwanda, embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, Khobar Towers bombing, USS Cole, Atlanta Olympics bombing….
But the prosperity! The single largest tax increase in American history (Gee Clownie, I hope the AMT doesn’t get you) and the “irrational exuberance” that would lead to the Internet bust, bankrupting tens of thousands and throwing us into a recession.

Yep, those were the Good Old Days. Makes me want to dance the Macarena just thinking about it.

  13. Badda Says:

    “peace, prosperity and competent government”…

    In the Clinton administration?!?!?! lol!!!

  14. nerdbert Says:

Badda, it was competent government. Bill was too busy handling all his scandals to do much that was destructive to the overall government he inherited. If he’d gotten a tenth of his agenda enacted we’d have been SOL.

  15. Dave Says:

But Kermit, you forgot how we had such peace on the home front during the Clintonista Reign of Terror:

WTC bombings, Waco (Janet Reno at her finest), the Oklahoma City bombing.

Ah yeah, bitchieclown….those were the good ‘o days!

  16. Terry Says:

Hey, if Hillary gets the nomination do we get to compare Bill’s method of avoiding the draft contra W’s?

  17. Dave Says:

Yeah, Terry…and maybe Hitlery will go to the podium of the DNC convention and say “Lt. Hillary, reporting for duty, sir” and give a stupid (and fake) salute.

  18. swiftee Says:

AssClown’s colon erupted: “Yeah, God forbid someone should find out that Obama went to a good school.”

Ya’ll should tread lightly with AC where quality education is concerned…ever since some big mouth told him that Shoe-shine Academy wasn’t “Ivy League” (after after he’d already spent $6.50 sending the little clowns there for an education) AssClown is mighty tender on the subject.
