Tom Petty Was Right

By Mitch Berg

The waiting is the hardest part.

Waiting on a “conditional approval” for an FHA loan that’d lop about five points off my mortgage.

So if any of you has a hotline to the powers that be – literal or metaphorical – on these things, I’d appreciate a good word.  I’ll eat my veggies every night.

I hope you are successful in obtaining money from this government program, Mitch.

Ben Bernanke doesn’t return my e-mails anymore.

    Ditto.

That, and getting my tax refund.

5 POINTS! You have 5 points to lop off?

Dude, you really need a new mortgage. FHA quarantees loans, but sadly AC is correct; with that much room in your mortgage, you are the reason we have this program.

    Good Luck!

I used a government program called the “Carter Administration” to get my first mortgage at 12%. Glad I’m done with all that.

    Good luck Mitch

If I lopped 5 points off mine, U Suck Bank would be paying me.

What Kerm said. Gee, wouldn’t that be cool. Negative Interest . . . would that mean I wouldn’t have to make payments anymore, the negfative interest would eventually take care of it

You’ve got whatever good wishes I can send your way.

    Indeed. Best of luck!
