I Heard It On The NARN
By Mitch Berg
By Mitch Berg
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and as many as 11 others (or more, or less, depending on the source you’re paying attention to) shot in an Arizona grocery store.

Shie is one of the members of congress who received threats, and who had her office vandalized, over her support for health care reform last spring.
You know, Mitch – one of those ‘avalanche of violence’ incidents you like to deny.
She was shot in the head at point blank range, and it appears that some of her staff were shot as well. Less information is available about bystanders.
This NY Times article notes that there were other events like this where protesters showed up with a pistol, in 2009. The Times article includes the announcement from her official spokesperson.
I hope your readers will join me in prayer for the recovery of the Congresswoman.
The thought crossed my mind, to wonder if this was one of those instances of 2nd Amendment remedies that failed Senator-wannabe Sharron Angle was so fond of mentioning….

You have NO idea what the motivation was.

Seriously, DG – dumb to speculate, and reprehensible to try to assign blame.
Remember Bill Sparkman.

Dog Bone, I didn’t think it was possible for you and/or Peev to sink lower than the usual vacuous b.s. you put forth here. But you’ve done it. Congrats, I guess.

On the bright side, Dog Bone, your demagoguery got a shout out on Mitch’s radio show. Kudos.

The quick attempt to score political points from this tragedy reveals a certain pettiness of spirit.

Not to bag on anyone personally (DG…) but seriously; we know nothing at all about the shooter or his motivations. Nothing.
And when I say “remember Bill Sparkman”, I mean this incident here, where an awful lot of people jumped to conclusions just as prematurely as DG has just done; they were, of course, utterly wrong.
Just saying.

The alleged shooter is Jared Loughner, a student at Pima Community College.
I have a post on the subject.
DG: I and the entire Tea Party awaits your apology.

Pfft. Like Dog Bone is much like her colleague Peev: Be gutted like a fish and then scurry away like a cockroach when the light comes on.

I have a liberal FB friend *GASP* who left the following off-topic comment on a post of mine.
“Right – instead we should concentrate on making more dangerous weapons available to the public so we can have more Representative shot. How about legalizing machine guns, mortars, and tactical nuclear weapons? The Republicans and the NRA have blood on there hands today.”
My response was “John, that is so full of strawmen you could keep the back 40 free of crows for decades.”

Well Bill, any leftist moron will jump on a horrid episode to validate their need to control you. Kinda like Dog did at 1:15 PM before she even knew any details about this crapfest.

Yeah, a prayer from a woman that actively and enthusiastically supports infanticide.
…damn, I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Wow, take a look at Swiftea. Angryclown has to think at least some of you kooks are ashamed to have him around.

I would think that a person who “actively and enthusiastically supports infanticide” would be better off making him or herself the subject of any prayer.

[…] 1 post – which was basically a throwaway, for better or worse – was the same person who left a comment at 1:15 last Saturday in the blog post I wrote while on the air, linking to the ongoing coverage of the Tucson massacre: Shie is one of the members of congress who […]
