That’s Gotta Hurt

When even the Twin Cities’ left-leaning alt-media notice:

Brodkorb/MDE wins a round: Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has reversed himself and admitted that he gave his campaign an email list from the SOS’s office that was not supposed to be used for campaign purposes.

Hey, if you can’t trust a “Secretary of State” whose only notable political experience was running the pressure group whose sole accomplishment was plastering those annoying “November 2″ bumper stickers on the backs of rusty Subarus and gaunt Volvos nationwide but who pinky-swore to “depoliticize” the Secretary of State’s office, who can you trust?

Let’s see what kinda damage control the Strib rolls out over the long weekend.

  1. Mitch,

You demand instant response, but never reciprocate. So the off-hand answer is ‘blow me’.

But I gave you a specific earlier, Bush lied, like a rug, about Wilson – according to McClellan – oh, I know, Scotty was just a disgruntled former employee..

Btw – reading level = elementary school – roflmao. Now I know why it’s such a struggle for your readers to keep up.

  2. You demand instant response, but never reciprocate.

There is nothing to reciprocate! As a rule, you issue vague (but snide) generalities.

So the off-hand answer is ‘blow me’.

You’d have to buy dinner first.

And  you’re starting to take this a little too seriously.

But I gave you a specific earlier, Bush lied, like a rug, about Wilson – according to McClellan – oh, I know, Scotty was just a disgruntled former employee..

As a matter of fact, you are referring to a matter of some contention.

More to the point, though, you are trying to change the subject; from a real, immediate problem with a sitting Dem official, to something unrelated, AND trying to paint it as a character flaw on my part.

    Kinda shoddy.

Btw – reading level = elementary school – roflmao.

    Huh?

  3. Btw – reading level = elementary school – roflmao.

Go back and read carefully what I actually wrote.

  4. Your favorite Peevert was referring to some dopey blog rating site. We got Junior High level by the way. Terribly un-pc. Should have been Middle School .

  5. Oh, that? Pfft.

I got a laugh out of that. I have been writing news and technical stuff for a very, very long time – like, pretty much my entire adult life. Writing clearly and accessibly means writing simply.

Not sure exactly what algorithm they use, but as a general thing, for someone to take that as an insult at me is…kinda myopic?

If we assume the site that “calculates” this stuff has a semi-valid algorithm, it means I’m a good writer.

There might be a blog post in that.

  6. I have to agree Mitch. Whenever my writing style gets obtuse and thick, it’s generally because I am dealing with things I don’t understand well enough to write clearly and simply about them; or when I don’t care enough about my potential readers to take them time to make what I am saying direct and clear

Based on a snippet of an unfinished book provided by MacClellan’s publisher. All you guys on the left are treating this like the Rosetta Stone. Laughs on you, I guess . . .
You guys on the left don’t like the fact that Armitage, not Cheney or Card, leaked Plame’s CIA ID & relationship with Wilson to Novak, so *bing* it doesn’t exist. And you have the nerve to criticize creationists for turning a blind eye to facts.

I wasn’t familiar with the “quote” when Peev used it.

But if that’s what it was – a teaser from a publisher – then, Peev, what IS your policy on using potentially misleading out-of-context “quotes” to try to slime your opponents?

And – assuming it’s true – given that the issue IS nothing if not contentious, there are two sides to the story.

As opposed to Ritchie’s story (remember that?), which – given Ritchie has just copped to everything MDE and the GOP have accused him of – is pretty well down to one side.
