Ritchie Redux

By Mitch Berg

Brodkorb has more on SecState Ritchie and some interesting transactions:

I have received information this morning that certain state employees associated with Minnesota’s Sesquicentennial events have complained about receiving solicitations for contributions from Ritchie’s campaign. Secretary of State Ritchie’s official office has an active role in Minnesota’s Sesquicentennial events and his official website lists information about next year’s events.

According to numerous sources who spoke with me on background, some state employees have received solicitations for contributions from Ritchie’s campaign at their state email addresses. At no time did they provide Ritchie’s campaign with the specific contact information through which they received their solicitation for contributions from Ritchie’s campaign.

This new information widens the scope of the allegations against Secretary of State Ritchie.

Just saying.

It’s going to be an interesting Volume III on the NARN this weekend.

You missed the part about all this information being PUBLIC information and that there isn’t even a shred of evidence that anything improper has taken place. I know, I know, classic GOP “if I say it, it is so” and “We don’t need no stinking evidence”

    Check!

    Flash

PS: The GOP, where Bush served honorably in the military but Kerry made everything up. Thereby, Kiffmeyer (future candidate anyone. What better way to resurrect someone but beating down their successor) was the bestest non partisan SoS ever, and Rithcie is nothing but a tool of the DFL. Gotchya!

    Talking points ahoy!

As the record showed, he did.

    but Kerry made everything up.

Strawman. Kerry most definitely served honorably – NO credible conservative has ever suggested otherwise. It would merely seem that certain details that are seared, seared into his memory don’t jibe with his unit’s records.

Thereby, Kiffmeyer (future candidate anyone. What better way to resurrect someone but beating down their successor) was the bestest non partisan SoS ever, and Rithcie is nothing but a tool of the DFL. Gotchya!

    Well, we’ll see, now – won’t we?

I’m not so sure that email addresses collected by the government are PUBLIC information. I’m doing some digging.

  4. nerdbert Says:

Are email addresses public? Lemme see, was there a certain case involving Yahoo and China where a dissident was involved? And were certain liberals screaming for Yahoo’s head over giving up that address? Hmmm, really, I don’t recall all the details, do you flash?

So flash, you really don’t mind if the government starts giving out your phone records complete, too? After all, they certainly can collect them, so once they have them by your logic they should be able to tell everyone about all those sooper sekret conference calls with Soros.

Sheesh, either you’re for privacy or you’re not. I’m for privacy and this seems like an invasion of it. Oh wait, liberals like you only recognize the absolute right of privacy when it concerns “abortion”, not privacy in every other sense of the word.
