Pay No Attention To The Scandal Behind The Curtain

A Democrat-linked student group is accused of wholesale vouching of voters:

Members of Students Organizing for America, a group of students aligned with the Democratic Party, may face a criminal investigation and possible felony charges after confrontations with an election judge over voter vouching during Tuesday’s election.

Ginny Gelms, the interim elections director in Minneapolis, said she will submit a report to the Hennepin County attorney’s office and the Minnesota Secretary of State‘s office today. The offices will investigate a possible incident of improper vouching.

Gelms said she was told by the University Lutheran Church precinct’s chair election judge there were two incidents of individuals trying to vouch for people they did not personally know.

  1. In a stunning bit of irony, being convicted of a felony would make the students ineligible to vote.

  2. Mitch,

The lefties are basically admitting it – from the facebook wall of an MPIRGler (the Nader group) at the U of M:

Justin Carlson Just had an MPIRG volunteer stop by my apt to remind me to vote. I told her I already voted absentee in WI and she was kind enough to tell me how to vote in MN if I wanted to vote here too. Not sure that’s gonna work, she was nice though. 🙂

  3. But, we cherish students and the learning process. To question the integrity of these humble and innocent children is beyond vile!

  4. I and two others personally witnessed a “Get Up Minnesota” student activist handing out pro-Dayton literature immediately at the entrance of the polling place on Havard Street as people were walking in to vote.

  5. Hey, if Michelle Obamba can electioneer inside the polling station unmolested and unchallenged, why are you surprised dhimmocrat droogs are electioneering outside?

  6. Ben’s wish is my something something.

    MN ST sec. 204C.14

    No individual shall intentionally:

    ***

    (e) aid, abet, counsel or procure another to go into any precinct for the purpose of voting in that precinct, knowing that the other individual is not eligible to vote in that precinct;

    ***

A violation of this section is a felony.

  7. Gill, this happens a lot, but our side never does anything about it.

There were reports of this in 2004 I think. Democrats waiting outside of polling places in Minneapolis to serve as vouchers.

  8. Thanks LF. Man I would have thought that is was only a misdemeanor. Nice to know that our laws, in theory, are quite harsh in that aspect.

  9. And I am utterly confident that Mark Ritchie will be thorough in his investigation of… heh…haha….hahahahaha…
Oh man, I need to take a break.
