I wouldn’t make too much of it. The History Channel ran “Band of Brothers” extensively after they got it from HBO.

Even though I’ve seen the series many times in the past I watched pretty much all of it. While I did enjoy the recent “The Pacific” series B Of B was (for me) by far the better of the two.
