It Just Occurred To Me…

By Mitch Berg

…that if I, or any Republican, goes to a DFL primary to vote for the weakest candidate this August, that none of them had better ask for our “papers”.

Perhaps it’s time the DFL practiced what it preached when it comes to “open borders?”

Hmmm?

Not that I’d vote in the other party’s primary or anything, y’understand.  But if I did

Find an undocumented DFL party boss to vouch for you.

What papers were you asked to show at the recent Republica convention, where you voted as a delegate?

    Just curious.

I’m guessing that nordic looking white guys aren’t asked to show papers in any situation as often as individuals of other ethnicities. I get that impression in part from the ‘poll’ for the GOP state senatorial candidate for MN District 42, that got some small attention in connection with attitudes on the right towards hisapnics….

    Comment?

The convention staff verify that you are the delegate that the BPOU elected. Everyone in my district knows me, so it wasn’t a problem.

If I’m pulled over by the police for, say, expired tabs? Sure I am. No different than if my name were Miguel Montana.

Now, there isn’t much illegal immigration from Norway – and Norwegian illegals aren’t killing Americans and slaughtering each other along our southern border. OR Bemidji. Gotta admit, the context changes, doesn’t it?

    Not familiar with the poll.

DG when I attended the CD6 convention as an alternate I had to show ID. I then got my Alternate badge. When not enough Delegates showed up I was called and had to show my Alternate badge.

Most every job I have ever had I have had to show ID, pass a background check and in some cases get fingerprinted. If I am driving and the police need to see my ID I give it to them. If I don’t have it I expect a problem. So yes White people have to show ID every now and then.

Hispanics shouldn’t have to go through any more hoops than anybody else. We can argue on and on about our immigration laws but we have to agree that they are laws. We can argue all day about who should be able to vote but you can’t argue that we don’t have laws governing who can and can not.

Deegee, do us a favor and take your disgusting racism back to teh peevee’s penis blog where it belongs.

As to primary conduct, just how does one determine the smelliest turd in the septic tank? When it comes to the general election, I’ll be happy to put Emmer against any leftist turd that floats to the top.

  7. Ben Says:

I think we need to change peeving to deegeeing because thats 2 days in a row she’s talking out of her perverbial ass.

Does the DFL allow white people to attend their conventions? I mean, aside from candidates, that is?

is exactly why many people distrust illegal aliens of Hispanic origin – if they were legal immigrants they would have passed through a vetting process that would keep this kind of scum out of the country. instead we have a federal government that does not take its responsibilities seriously – the result is that while many of the illegal aliens of Hispanic origin among us are decent people we have no way of knowing who is the slasher/rapist/robber and who isn’t, but we do have to expect that with no controls at the border a certain portion of the illegal aliens will be just that. The lamentable reality is that we shouldn’t have to be wary of immigrants but when a sizable portion of that population is illegal aliens of sometimes suspect background, we must.

Liberals are wedded to this assumption that the results of a law need to be equal in order for the law to be fair. It’s nonsensical. Is it biased against heavy drinkers to enforce DUI laws?

Now a bright liberal might say, “So you’re making an ontological argument about Hispanics? That they are by nature illegal?”

Nope, and heavy drinkers don’t necessarily drive under the influence. What I am saying is that the result of a particular law will have disparate impact based on context. Because there are far more illegal immigrants that are Hispanic, any law that targets illegal immigrants will disproportionately affect Hispanics. This doesn’t equal racism. But understanding this takes nuance. Well, not much of it. But a little.

Kerm: BAM! Got ‘er right between those beady little eyes…that’s gonna leave a mark, LOL!

  12. Ben Says:

Big Sis, swiftee’s inciting violence! 😉

  13. Chuck Says:

Therer are laws against cross burnings. I think they can call it a threat, vs free speach. Most likely, this has a disproportion affect a white folk. Does that make anti-cross burning laws racist?

  14. Ben Says:

Chuck, yes true. For further readings on threat speech vs. free speech consult your local library

I assume Dog Gone is refering to this poll:
    http://minnesotaindependent.com/58058/is-az-immigration-law-misguided-minnesota-gopers-say-no-way-jose
We don’t know because she left no link. It’s an online poll of self-selected visitors to a website. In other words, it’s for entertainment value only.
One day maybe a liberal will come to the conclusion that if they see racism where there is none, need to interpret the words of conservatives by referencing some unwritten secret code they will realize “IT”S ALL IN MY HEAD!”
    I’m not holding my breath.

  16. K-Rod Says:

“Does the DFL allow white people to attend their conventions? I mean, aside from candidates, that is?”

No, and the DFL will go as far as not allowing a white former Senator from attending!

    ….

“Is it biased against heavy drinkers to enforce DUI laws?”

Nope, it is racist against people with ruddier complexion.

  17. Mitch Berg Says:

    Ah, that poll.

So let’s ignore the facts that…:

    a) the law in fact recapitulates existing federal laws.

    b) the poll was, as noted above, a self-selecting bunch of people visiting an obscure BPOU site. It could very easily have been gamed by the opposition. The lopsided result should makey you go “hmmm”, if you’re in the habit of being skeptical. Which, when it comes to DFL chanting points, you (pl) are seemingly not!

    c) The rather unfortunate wording of the poll by the people at the obscure BPOU, which, depending on your point of view, is either racist or dumb and caricaturish…

…and focus on the fact that the AZ law, AS FINALLY PASSED, removed the ambiguities that led to the (hyperventilating) “Show Me Your Papers” blathering – so voting “no” was by no means a racist choice.

The “poll” didn’t gauge anyone’s racism (other that whomever wrote the answers to the questions) so much as the degree to which one agrees with or disagrees with the left’s current narrative about the issue.

While reading leftyblogs to get actual accurate information about anything is hopeless and fruitless, doing it to get information about conservatives is downright self-delusion. Do everyone a favor and don’t do it.

  18. Dave Thul Says:

‘What papers were you asked to show at the recent Republica convention, where you voted as a delegate?’

Actually, DG, Mitch and every other person in the convention hall needed a floor pass to get in the room. Geez, since I was a sgt at arms asking people for their ‘papers’, does that make me a Nazi?

  19. Badda Says:

I’m shocked – SHOCKED – that Dog has backed out of the room without a peep.

  20. Ben Says:

Dave, in her world yes it does. Nevermind that the commies did it a LOT more because that fact is slightly inconvienent.

  21. swiftee Says:

teh dog really gets upset when she is summarilly put in her place.

  22. K-Rod Says:

Swiftee, you’d think deegee would get used to it by now.
